About PDB

The Portage Development Board (PDB) is incorporated as a 501 (C)(3) for the purpose of creating a public-private organization that provides economic development services to Portage County.  The PDB consists of up to a 37 member Board of Directors which includes a 9 member Executive Committee.  Its responsibilities include providing assistance to industrial Realtors, builders, local industries and local communities in an effort to maintain and improve the economic base in Portage County.


Mission Statement
The Portage Development Board will create and retain jobs by coordinating economic development activities that encourages retention, expansion and attraction of business; assisting business and educational institutions in cultivating a qualified workforce; and sustaining mutually beneficial relationships with private and public sector collaborators that influence the quality of life and business.


Vision Statement
Portage County is a preferred business location in Northeast Ohio.
